3 day watercolor workshop in Sacramento where I will share with you my techniques for creating imaginative watercolor portraits!
What the class will cover -
Materials, inspiration and watercolor techniques.
Using multiple images to create a narrative collage for reference.
Transferring and refining your image.
Techniques for painting luminous portraits, starting with small exersizes, then working on your own unique portrait.
Tips on painting flowers or other possible additions to your portrait.
This workshop is best suited for intermediate to advanced painters, but having at least some watercolor experience will be helpful.
Class size is limited.

Materials needed -
Arches 300 lb hot press paper
Variety of round watercolor brushes
Variety of quality watercolors, including Quinacridone Pink or Permanent Rose, Phthalo Blue or Winsor Blue, Azo Yellow or Winsor Yellow or something similar.
Pencil, Kneaded erasure, Water containers, scissors, graphite transfer paper, printed images, artists tape.
